Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Your driver will pick you up from your riad or hotel in Fes early in the morning.
We travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains with several beautiful stops along the way:
- Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”
- Azrou cedar forest to see wild monkeys
- Midelt
- Panoramic views of the Ziz Valley
After lunch, continue through Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga Desert.
Upon arrival:
- Welcome tea at the camp
- Camel ride across the dunes
- Sunset in Erg Chebbi
- Traditional Moroccan dinner
- Berber music around the campfire
🛏️ Overnight in luxury or standard desert camp
Day 2: Full Day Exploring Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, enjoy a full day discovering the Sahara Desert and the surroundings of Merzouga.
Activities may include:
- 4x4 desert excursion
- Visit nomad families
- Discover the black desert
- Visit Khamlia village and Gnawa music
- Explore desert oases
- Sandboarding in the dunes
- Free time to relax and enjoy the Sahara atmosphere
In the evening:
- Sunset over the dunes

🛏️ Second overnight in Merzouga Desert Camp
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast.
After breakfast, return by camel or 4x4 and continue toward Marrakech.
Along the way:
- Visit Todra Gorges
- Pass through Tinghir and Dades Valley
- Ouarzazate
- Visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
- Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass
Arrival in Marrakech in the evening.
